A. Personal Options

Signatures are a privilege and should not be used in any abusive manner and must conform to the forum rules. You will only be warned once for inappropriate content contained within your signature and may lose the privilege of using a signature at any time seen fit by the administration. All signatures must also comply with the following guidelines.

1. May not contain more than 4 lines of text.

2. May not contain text with a font size larger than 3.

3. If an image is used, it must be no larger than 60KB.

4. The width of a signature image may not be more than 500 pixels.

5. The height of a signature image may not be more than 120 pixels.

6. May not contain more than 1 image, including smilies.

Avatars are small images placed to the left of your username in your posts and profile. Your avatar should ideally reflect your personality because it is the first thing people will see when they read your posts. Your avatar can be changed in your User Settings. If you wish to use a custom avatar, you may do so as long as it is not of offensive nature in any way. Avatars may be no larger than 80x80 pixels and must comply with the site rules.

Profile Pictures are images that are displayed only in your profile. Although your profile picture should be a personal picture that you provide, you are not necessarily encouraged to use a picture of yourself. Profile pictures may be no larger than 150x150 pixels and must comply with the site rules.

B. Security and Privacy

Passwords should be kept secure at all times and never shared with anyone else. It is recommended that you use a password that is at least 6 characters containing upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols (!, @, #, $, etc.). You should not use your name, or the name of a relative, friend, pet, or anything that some one else would be able to easily guess. It is also a good habit to change your password occasionally.

Email addresses are required for communication and verification purposes. You should maintain a valid email address. Email addresses are considered confidential information and will never be provided to a third party. It is recommended that you consider it confidential as well and only provide it in private when necessary.

Private Messaging system is provided as a convenient method for members to contact one another and receive updates or other warnings from the staff. Its use is subject to our rules governing spam and solicitation, and it is the member's responsibility to maintain their inbox and other PM folders. The PM system is unintended for legal correspondence between members, and Veggie Chat can not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused by data loss.
C. Forum Ranking

Staff ranks are split into three categories; Administrators, Super Moderators, and Moderators.

Administrators are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the site and its members.

Super Moderators are responsible for enforcing rules and handling rule violations in all forums, and direct correspondence with the site administrators.

Moderators maintain the integrity of specific forums and enforce rules in the forum(s) they are assigned to. All staff members are willing to help in any situation and should be contacted if needed without hesitation.
